Happyhensgreens began with a simple idea: create a place where children and families can learn how to care for animals gently, grow their own food naturally, and reconnect with nature in a meaningful way. What started as a small educational project in Sofiko has grown into a community-led mission built around empathy, responsibility, and sustainable living.

We believe that small daily actions can shape lifelong values. From caring for a rabbit or guinea pig, to growing wheatgrass in a tiny eco pot, every experience teaches children to slow down, notice, nurture, and act with compassion.

🌱 Why We Grow Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass plays a beautiful role in our story. It’s not just a plant — it’s a lesson in patience, routine, and nourishment. Children plant the seeds, water every day, watch them sprout, and learn that caring for something small encourages gentleness and responsibility.

For rabbits, guinea pigs, and hens, wheatgrass is also a safe, natural enrichment that supports healthy digestion and wellbeing. This makes it the perfect bridge between nature, learning, and animal care.

🐰 The Mini Farm in Sofiko

Our Mini Farm Pop-Up in Sofiko gives families, schools, and community groups a safe place to meet animals, ask questions, and learn how to care for them respectfully. Children can feed the rabbits, observe their behaviours, plant seeds, and explore what it means to treat animals with kindness.

It’s not a petting zoo — it’s an educational environment designed around safety, respect, and animal welfare.
